In this topic we provide basic documentation about how you quickly connect a PostgreSQL database to MS Excel via ODBC.
We provide no further support regarding this topic.
By creating an intermediate ODBC-driver the database becomes accessible to MS Excel. In orde to create such ODBC-driver you open your ODBC management system.
If there is a PostgreSQL ODBC Driver available, you can skip the following steps and open MS Excel.
If there is no PostgreSQL ODBC Driver available, you can create one by clicking "Add...".
Choose PostgreSQL ODBC Driver (UNICODE) and click "Complete".
Enter the database name, server, user and password and click "Save".
Now a PostgreSQL ODBC Driver should be available and click "OK".
Open MS Excel en go to: "Data > Get Data > Other > ODBC".
Select the PostgreSQL ODBC Driver you created and click "OK".
The following navigator wil appear:
Select the table you would like to transfer and click "Load".
